1. Mid-air collisions 
Frankly, it boggles my mind that mid-air collisions happen at all. There are three whole dimensions up there! At any rate, Santa has somehow managed to avoid these sorts of accidents for as long as he’s been Santa, but with more and more aircraft taking to the sky every day, it’s only a matter of time before someone wing-clips Rudolph and Santa’s forced to bail – and foot the hefty repair bill.
2. Health
You know how you go and get traveller’s health insurance before travelling, well, anywhere? Heck, you cover yourself if you’re heading to Florida for the weekend. Here, we’re talking about a guy traversing the entire globe in a single night… Who knows what he’s going to come across. Not to mention the fact that his immune system is probably shot by spending most of the year at the North Pole where it’s too cold for germs to really survive.
3. Elf accidents
I’m not saying Santa’s elves are accident prone or anything, but the man’s effectively running a toy factory – there’s bound to be the occasional accident. In the event of elf-mishap, Santa really ought to be prepared with some kind of general liability insurance. That way he can deal with things nice and legally.
4. He owns reindeer
Look, I’ll be honest. I don’t know what exactly a reindeer is, but I know that you can get equine insurance which covers horses. Reindeer are kind of like horses, I mean, they’re both pretty big, they have four legs, hooves… They’re both kind of weird looking, when you think about it. And why do they have such human-like teeth? It’s creepy! Anyway, Santa’s job pretty much relies on his reindeer and their ability to fly him around the world (this is where they differ from horses, I guess). Makes sense to insure ‘em!
5. He’s overweight and old
‘Nuff said, really. I’m not trying to be morbid, but having a life insurance policy isn’t a half bad idea when you’re at least hundreds of years old and overweight. Not to mention the whole naughty list thing… That’s a lot of enemies for one old guy to be making.
