The Shepherd Group is a refreshingly different insurance brokerage firm focused on accessibility, social responsibility, saving you money on your insurance, and plain old-fashioned fun! We do things differently around here, and our clients love us for it.

Different Is Better

In 2008 when Neil Shepherd took over full ownership of the brokerage he looked at his business with new eyes and asked, “What can we do to be better?”

The answer was simple. Let’s start by being different. First we needed to bring our business into the now by adopting social media, being more accessible online than insurance brokers typically are, and by eliminating as much paper as possible and saving some trees. We also reduce our carbon footprint in many other ways like using energy efficient lighting, recycling, supporting local business, and using sustainable products in our office.

Second, we needed to make the purchase of insurance as easy as possible, for you, our clients. Let’s face it; buying insurance probably isn’t the most fun task that you have to accomplish in a day however, with our online quote, purchase, print feature we make it simple for you, walking you through the process step by step, provide you with some information and maybe even a few laughs along the way.

Lastly, we wanted to make a difference in our community by giving back and being active in what’s happening around us. We plant trees, pick up garbage, host events, volunteer, and give back to local charities in our community.
