Category Archives: no fault insurance
Yesterday I was preparing an application for a new client I just wrote, and as I’m sure everyone who has purchased auto insurance knows, we run your insurance history and driving record. She had mentioned to me that she had 2 minor speeding tickets, so of course the quote she received was based on this record. However, when I ran her MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) I found out that she actually had 3 convictions, one being “Driving while using a handheld device”….
I can’t tell you how many times I’m out for dinner or lunch and will overhear the people talking at the next table about insurance (I’m assuming because insurance is a topic that directly affects all of us in one way or another). Most times, these conversations seem to be about a claim, and the fault that lies within that claim. I have heard people say, “I had an accident and my rates went up, but isn’t it no-fault insurance?”…
