Friday Wrap Up: Appreciation & Reward

email

We had a very busy week at TSG! The office was hopping with activity, we wrote a lot of new clients, and our energy was high!

Neil has rewarded the staff this month by taking us all to a Blue Jays game next Friday and we are very excited to get out and enjoy some time together outside of work, have some fun and relax.

This got me thinking about what it takes to be a great boss, and what makes you want to work for someone.

We all work hard out there, in every industry and as humans, being recognized for our hard work is really all we are looking for.  Neil and I spent a lot of time brainstorming recently about how we can show appreciation and reward our employees for the great work that they do.

I think this is something that employers in every industry need to really sit back and think about.  I hear so many busienss owners complain that there is no good talent out there, no loyal employees however that’s not really the case.

There IS great talent out there – as business owners we just need to be creative in how we attract them, and more importantly how we retain them.

It’s all about appreciation, and ensuring that everyone has fun, is comfortable and feels like a part of the team.  This will inspire communication, motivation and an overall positive and productive working environment.

Have a great weekend everyone, we’ll see you Monday!
