Driving to work in the morning with your cell phone in your purse or briefcase and then you hear that ring or chime that singles a text. Someone out there is
trying to get a hold of you.
Before the cell phone age we would have been content with waiting to get where to our destination before we used the phone. However now a days …society has dictated that texts and cell phone calls must be answered immediately.
It’s Not Just About You
Even when you’re doing 120km down highway 400. The dangers of texting while driving can be very lethal for yourself and those around you. This is why it is highly advised not to combine the two whenever out on the open road.
It has been proven as well as talked about again and again yet many just don’t listen. Individuals need to wake up and smell the coffee before they get themselves and someone else killed in the process.
You Think You Can…But You’re Wrong
Texting while driving can only lead to havoc. It does not matter if a person thinks that they can drive just fine while still texting. This is never the case. There are those that think they are more than capable when they are not. Multitasking can become very deadly when you are trying to control huge metal can with a combustible engine. Research into this fact does not lie.
Double The Accidents
There are very real dangers connected to texting while driving. This research clearly shows that the chances of crashing your car while texting is double the amount more so than just than conversing on a cell phone.
It’s Banned
This is why the province of Ontario has banned the use of hand held devices while driving. It will now cost you a ticket and $500 fine for that one text message or cell phone call not to mention the possible ramifications to your car insurance premium if this not your first ticket. Ask yourself “ Is it really worth it ?”
A person should wait to use their cell phone when they are not behind the wheel of a moving vehicle that clearly demands all of your attention and not divided attention between the road and an electronic piece of technology. Practice safety first and save lives. Prevent accidents from happening. Use common sense.
Be sure to stay safe,
